Self Guided GoBoat Rental in Silver Springs
Overview
Explore the beautiful Silver River on a 2 to 4-hour self-guided GoBoat rental in Silver Springs. Cruise through crystal-clear waters and discover one of Florida’s most wildlife-rich waterways, where fish, turtles, and underwater vegetation are visible beneath your boat. Keep an eye out for the river’s famous wild rhesus monkeys along the shoreline and, during winter months, manatees gathering in the spring-fed waters. Your electric GoBoat launches and returns from Ray Wayside Park, giving travelers the freedom to explore at their own pace while enjoying a peaceful and eco-friendly boating experience. Please note that upstream travel is limited to approximately 1.5 mph against the current, so planning turnaround time is essential.

What To Expect
After arriving at Ray Wayside Park in Silver Springs, travelers receive an on-site operation and safety briefing before setting out on a self-guided GoBoat rental adventure. The rental includes the electric vessel, motor, lithium battery, life vest for each passenger, an extendable oar, whistle, vessel registration, and battery disconnect leash. Once on the water, travelers can navigate the scenic Silver River independently, enjoying opportunities to spot wildlife such as rhesus monkeys, turtles, fish, and seasonal manatees while taking in views of the world-famous Silver Springs headwaters. A valid driver's license or photo ID is required, and the renter must be at least 18 years old to complete the rental agreement. Children as young as 8 may operate the boat when accompanied by an adult at all times. Travelers may bring drinks and snacks in reusable containers, but disposable containers are not permitted at the launch site. Because the river current limits upstream travel speed to about 1.5 mph, travelers should allow enough time to return comfortably to the departure point before the rental period ends.
